EUGENIE
DOYLE
Eugenie Doyle has been growing organic garlic with her family
on their 200 acre farm in Monkton VT for 15 years. Former
dairy farmers Eugenie and husband Sam Burr plant about 150
lbs of garlic yearly along with strawberries, raspberries,
asparagus, and many other vegetables. They also cut about
80 acres of hay. They love garlic, their 3 college age children
love garlic and the annual garlic harvest has become a much
anticipated event by young local helpers.
Eugenie is eager to work on this
grant to add to her own
knowledge and to focus attention on the delicious phenomenon
of fresh, local garlic.
